Annual Function

                                                      Annual Function
Diversity is an important factor in school life. Without vigour and stimulation the student life becomes uninteresting and tedious. Therefore almost all the schools celebrate their annual functions. These kinds of functions add colour to a student‟s life. Annual functions also help the schools to bring out and nurture the hidden talents in their students. Keeping all the above things in mind our school too celebrated its annual day in the month of November. Along with it annual prize ceremony was also held. Prizes were given away to the students who showed their extraordinary excellence in various academic, sports and co-curricular activities; at command level, cluster level and inter-school level. The duration of the function was of three days, from 19th to 21st November 2013.
On the very first day the students of the school were called to enjoy the programme and the second day was reserved for their parents, who came and graced the occasion. The chief guests were invited on the following day.
The theme of the programme was "Save Earth‟. The participants were divided into ten groups and with the help and guidance of their respective group teachers; they put their 100% to make the programme a success. The mesmerizing show started with the act showing the incarnation of life on earth followed by its flourishment. Then the destruction of the beautiful planet by animal hunting and cutting of trees was shown. If we harm nature, the nature may harm us too. This was the center of the next act, which with the help of a mime based on Uttarakhand disaster, elaborated its theme. It also
highlighted the extraordinary courage and humanity shown by our Indian Army as well as Air Force. The deadly dance of disaster was also shown with the help of the skeleton act. Later on the happiness and well being again was evident in the rain dance presented by our students in a classical way. The magical sequence did not stop here. The next step to this was to inculcate awareness against the poaching among the people with the help of a play. Followed by this the candles of hope, to keep our planet alive, were lighted with joy. Then last but not the least, came the green carnival full of life and enthusiasm. It reminded us that if we want to enjoy our life and live it peacefully then we should try to keep our planet clean and green. It is difficult for us to accept any change from the environment we are born and live in. But we love to change the environment around us to satisfy our needs. The modifications brought by us in the environment have been given a lot of prominence these days. These changes not only modify our lives but also disturb the nature as well.
The primary reason for the issues like global warming, land degradation, and flood etc. is the negligence of our duties towards the environment and the planet. Therefore all of us should promise ourselves to think and act in this direction, so that we can make the "Earth" a better place to live; because it is rightly said:
“The Earth has enough to fulfill everyone‟s need, but it can never satisfy everyone‟s greed.”
